Empowering Sub-Saharan Farmers Through Precision Weather Forecasting
As climate change continues to disrupt traditional weather patterns, smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa face increasing uncertainty in their agricultural planning.
November update on my progress with my Impossible List.
Professional
I’ve been working away on my automated business and I think I’m a few weeks away from going live so this should be a very exciting Christmas. Selling my first shirt will be the thrill of the year. In other news I have tried to chase up Hilary Campbell a few times with no response so hopefully she is doing ok. She might be moving ahead with an app development company out of Edinburgh so I might have shot myself in the foot with this goal as I am stuck until Hilary gets back involved. I’ll leave it up for another month and if there is still no contact I’ll take the goal down as there won’t be anything I can do to move this forward.
The blogs are moving along swiftly, but the technical conference and the Dundee Tech Meetup are both on hold due to the current pandemic.
Health / Fitness
So I’m not doing much on this front. My weight seems to hover around 14 stone 5 pounds regardless of reducing my food intake or my normal activity. I must be replacing calories with snacks or something. December isn’t going to be the greatest month to lose weight. Perhaps I should think about joining a Gym and I can do my morning classes while walking/jogging on a treadmill. I’ll see what the restrictions are like at that point.
I’m not sure I’m going to get much time with a Doctor, but I am hoping in this month to begin the journey towards and Autism assessment. We’ll see if I can get an appointment.
Personal Skills
I’ve been thinking about my book a lot lately. Getting back into reading is helping. In reality this will be more into next year that I get stuck into the editing and finishing off the work I’ve done so far.
Photographs has taken a turn and I’ve now posted everything up on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/190583382@N07/
The photo count has reduced to 41 and I’m working forward from their. I’ll modify the initial goal to 100 and work to add photos to my account once a month of anything that I feel good about in the month previous.
Travel / Events
Yep, this is absolutely not happening until at the very earliest Q3 2021.
Volunteering / Charity
I’m sorting out paid Facebook advertising for Tayside Re-Users so we should start to see increased presence locally, maybe I can convert that to more users and a handful of board members.
Education / Languages
Still moving forward with my Python course. Only a few more weeks to complete. Then I’m back on Statistics. Russian is proving difficult to squeeze into my routine so it’ll have to wait a bit yet.
Financial
Also on hold while Louise is working on her self this year finishing her counselling course and recharging.
