Impossible List - 15 February

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

If I had anyone who actually read these random thoughts they'd probably have noticed that I've added a new page to my blog: https://www.matthewdavis.uk/munros/

After that I'm focusing all of my out of work/family time on two things, getting fit so I can climb a big mountain next year and working through my book.

Health / Fitness

I've had some ill days, but all in all I'm keeping to my fitness plan. I'll eventually reach my goal, but just need to keep working on it.

I have been keeping my eating within the correct calorie counts  again a few hiccups, but my weight is coming down and heading in the right direction.

My aim is to end this year pretty far down on the weight scale and higher up on the fitness scale in preparation to climb a big mountain in 2025.

Personal Skills

I always start the year with an intention to really focus on my book and I'm thinking that I really mean it this year. No real focus on other projects until I've got a decent working draft of this book completed. This is workign well so far. I'm hoping to have a decent draft of the book ready and printed for me going away to Italy in May then I can have a leisurely read through for issues.

Travel / Events

So two bigger trips this year, One to Lake Como and the other to Copenhagen. Louise and I hope to camp in Orkney and perhaps I've convinced her to be my support crew to climb all 6 of England's Furths.

Volunteering / Charity

Starting to really address the issues behind the business of Tayside Re-Users. We'll see where that goes.

Education / Languages

I've continued with my DuoLingo work. Hopefully in the next 12 months I can get through and complete Russian. I might be good at that point to jump back into a Russian class. I'll look at this come September.

Financial

Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status.
