Impossible List - 15 October

October update on my progress with my Impossible List.

Impossible List - 15 October

I’m starting to think that there should be a separate list for goals on the horizon which will keep my goals in each section to a minimum of ongoing goals to manage. Link

Professional

The automated business is still a steel in the fire. It needs time invested in testing the code and making sure everything runs smoothly before moving to the next step of connecting the work to a drop shipping company.

The spelling MVP is semi functioning now, returning a list of results which are not 100% accurate, but still a huge step forward. This needs polished and moved towards more accurate results.

Health / Fitness

Weight is an issue that is starting to waver, and my resolve is lessened, but I keep starting over each week and moving forward. I’m keeping up counting calories, I’m keeping up walking three miles every weekday and I’m considering adding in a small regular workout.

My weekday walks have been going well and I have accomplished a full month of them. I’ll need to move up and pick a larger goal.

I haven’t been working on my ollie, and this will most likely go into hibernation over the winter.

I am still going strong in relation to not drinking. I am now less than three moths away from completion. Can’t wait to drink again!

Personal Skills

The first 15 chapters of my book have been edited. I’ve had a critique ad chat with an author, and it seems that I’ve confused editing and writing phases. I need to finish the writing of each chapter finishing out all 40, then move over to a developmental edit and finishing with a line edit.

Flickr now has ??? photos in it.

Travel / Events

Wigtown book festival was a blast. It was nice to wander around well stock bookstores and have a good ol’ browse.

Stonehaven for Hogmany seems very doable at the moment, we’ll have to wait and see what restrictions if any are put in place due to the pandemic.

Volunteering / Charity

I’m starting to get noticed for my work in social media, and this is translating to views, but translating that to members seems to be a disconnect. I’ll explore more about this going forward.

I’ve connected Tayside Re-Users to Social Good Connect to see if anyone wanted to volunteer as a Trustee. Fingers crossed someone will connect with us.

Education / Languages

The course at St. Andrews has proven difficult to say the least. Regardless I’m forging through it, and I am learning new things. All the while I’m working through DuoLingo and getting stronger.

Financial

Clearing my credit cars is still a bit out, but we’ve gotten stuck into paying down our debts and this will be sorted before the close of 2022.

I’ve pulled together stuff for my citizenship application and when I get the second payment for my work with Angus Council, I’ll be able to get this sent off and await my fate.
