Impossible List - 15 January
How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional
Still focused fully on getting fit and writing my book. Just slogging through these days. I am looking at my next running goal to be the Glen Ogle 33 which would be my first ultra marathon. Currently I'm hoping that I can Work through the training plans for a 10k then a Marathon and finally a training plan for a 50k ending with the 33 Mile race which is roughly 53k.
I've been pushing through my writing and I should have a draft of my book done by the end of November, Hopefully that gives me enough time to work through the entire newly formatted book for consistency and to solve any remaining large questions before giving out a copy to two people for my first beta readers. I will still need to run through the book to strengthen the voice and character arcs for each of the main characters as well as a pass to work on my world building and to focus on opening doors earlier in the book for scenes that come later.
Health / Fitness
Still going strong with minimal amount of headaches so it looks like Pizotifen is the answer. I guess it will be a lifetime drug then. I'm starting to rack these things up.
Having started running again since the marathon, but it feels like I have done something to my hips. It isn't super painful, just stiff. Hopefully some running will loosen everything up. If not I might need a trip to the physical therapist before really ploughing into training for next year.
My aim is to end this year pretty far down on the weight scale and higher up on the fitness scale in preparation to climb a big mountain in 2025. So far that hasn't been working, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of it. I'm counting calories now, so hopefully that will help.
Personal Skills
As said I've been really working through the editing of my book. I am hoping that I will have a solid finished draft by the end of the year to go to beta readers and then throughout next year I will edit and go through more beta readers before ultimately trying to get a literary agent. I'll give it a good Harvard try, but if nothing comes of it I'll put the book up for self publishing.
Flickr has 743 photos in it.
Travel / Events
Still waiting on Copenhagen.
Volunteering / Charity
Since my appointment to the chair of Tayside Re-Users I think I'm going to consolidate a few of the basics and get some things just sorted. First in line is the constitution and our obligation to keep lists of members and trustees. Then I'm going to focus on our lease.
Education / Languages
I've continued with my DuoLingo work. Hopefully in the next 12 months I can get through and complete Russian. I might be good at that point to jump back into a Russian class. I'll look again at this come next year.
Financial
Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status.
