Impossible List - 15 July

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Impossible List - 15 July

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

Currently I'm working on the fourth of my four Udemy courses before I return to my UK Mountain Weather app. This is ongoing and should be finished in just a few days now..

I'm working on the outline for a JavaScript Debugging course. Hopefully I can get this up and running within 6 months, but knowing me it will take all year.

Health / Fitness

I was starting to go down and then had a setback just recently in terms of weight. Hopefully this is a blip and I'm turning things around now, but it is really too early to tell. I seems to just hover around the top end of 13 stone. I'm guessing my work throughout the week is being undone by eating too many calories at the weekend. I'll get there, but it does seem far off at the moment.

Personal Skills

I have been working on my book and working through the developmental edit.

Flickr now has 584 photos in it, a couple of trips to the hills and my new 70-300mm as well as my 16-80mm lens are very fun to work with makes this easier. I had a wee mishap where I broke my camera. It has since been sent off for repair and I should get it back in the next week or two.

Travel / Events

So it has been confirmed and flights bought. My mother an I are going to climb San Luis Peak in Colorado.

In other news Finn and I are heading to Amsterdam and Paris. We're apparently going to smoke a doobie and get some fancy food in France.

I also found that the Royal Geographic Society is hosting an annual event dedicated to Explorers and I'm excited to go to that conference and listen to the talks. I need to keep the cost down so I'll need to take busses and sleep in a room full of 26 of my closest friends, but it'll be an adventure.

Volunteering / Charity

Membership cards are now a thing at Tayside Re-Users. Let's give it a few months and see how that impacts membership.

Education / Languages

I've continued with my DuoLingo work. I have also added in a re-taking of subjects regarding JavaScript, Typescript and React to re-vamp my skills as well as get a good understanding of how to structure a Udemy course.

Financial

Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status. I'm starting to wonder what my future should be, not to attempt to move to it now, but to slowly build up my skills to support a move in a year or two.

I have finally achieved attaining my citizenship! Woop woop!
