Impossible List - 15 January

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

So I've been circling around the automated business idea and I just can't get myself excited enough about it to dig in. I might have to moth ball it and tackle something else for a while.

The phonetic spell checker is due to come back into my life in February so here's hoping the small break has given me the perspective I need to finish it out.

Health / Fitness

The Christmas period didn't do much good for my weight, although I have been slowly working it down again in the weeks since the new year. Only time will tell if I am going to keep moving in that direction.

I haven’t been working on my ollie, and this will most likely go into hibernation over the winter.

I have completed a year of not drinking and in the end I don't particularly want to drink again. I've had a drink since, but it's not really as much of a desire as I had before. This is probably for the best.

Personal Skills

Looking at writing a solid rough draft of my book I have schedule out the entire 2022 working towards achieving this, currently I am working on a rough draft of chapter 24 of 40 chapters.

Flickr now has 268 photos in it.

Travel / Events

Stonehaven for Hogmanay was cancelled very late in the game due to the Omnicron variant of Covid. Perhaps next year.

Volunteering / Charity

I'm working on an idea to generate more members at Tayside Re-Users and it hinges on the installation of the new ePOS upgrade and whether or not we can manage discounts better than we currently do.

Education / Languages

Looking at DuoLingo and workign out how long it should take I see that most of this year will be taken up with completing Russian in DuoLingo.

Financial

Clearing my credit cards is still a bit out, but we’ve gotten stuck into paying down our debts and this will be sorted mostly through 2022. I think there will be a bit of run over, but the aim is to reduce our credit cards to £0 and then tackle raising a down payment on a house in 2023.

I've submitted my citizenship application and also sorted out the required supporting documentation. I'm currently just waiting on a answer. I'm currently expecting something in March or April, but it could be as long as June.
