Impossible List - 15 February

February update on my progress with my Impossible List.

Impossible List - 15 February

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

I've got stuck into my project to automate a t-shirt design company. My goal is to finish this project and then move on to finish other projects. I'm hoping that 2022 will be the year of completing out some ideas for me.

The phonetic spell checker hasn't come back on line yet, but I believe it will soon.

Health / Fitness

I am steadily losing weight, perhaps this is the year I get down to my ideal weight as defined by the NHS.

Still in hibernation is my ollie, perhaps I'll get the skateboard out in the spring.

I've had a couple more opportunities to try drinking again and I'm not really liking it. Besides the worry about the calories getting in the way of my weight loss goals, the hangover is absolutely not worth the drinks. I think I might move myself over to grandma mode and have a sherry every Christmas and New Years from now on.

Personal Skills

I noticed in my writing that my book was veering off track and I sat down to write out an outline of what I've put together so far. My idea is to fill out the outline in more detail and then come back at the missing chapters with new content. This will set me back, but I would feel good if I could end the year with a solid outline and a substantially written rough draft.

Flickr now has 275 photos in it.

Travel / Events

Currently on the horizon is a trip to see my parents back in Iowa. I'm nervous at the prospect of all the money spent can be lost in an instant based on no understanding rules or reading the wrong source of information.

Volunteering / Charity

I'm beginning the process of updating our approach to members and to our advertising increasing our membership and our sales. It will take several months, but I think it will definitely pay off.

Education / Languages

Looking at DuoLingo and working out how long it should take I see that most of this year will be taken up with completing Russian in DuoLingo.

Financial

I forgot to include interest in my credit card payment projections. And after discovering that credit card interest is the most disgustingly difficult thing to calculate I got a different picture of paying off our credit cards. We'll most likely be halfway through 2023 before we start on our house deposit.

I'm still waiting on my citizenship decision. Fingers crossed.
