Impossible List - 15 December

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Impossible List - 15 December

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

Starting to put some effort into a conflicts database that pulls conflict and event data from several sources and looks to build my own database which will serve as a backend to a map display of conflicts in the world.

Health / Fitness

I have regressed in my effort to continue to do push ups, weights, running and walking. I'm looking at being a cliché and joining a gym here in January. I appear to have talked Jamie into it so I have someone to help me feel accountable.

Personal Skills

I have been working on my book and working through the developmental edit. This has slowed down a bit, but I'm working to keep chipping away at it. I am currently focused on getting this done. By the end of 2024 I am hoping to have a complete first draft of the work.

Flickr now has 635 photos in it.

Travel / Events

A few items on the itinerary for next year, looking at a trip to Italy with Louise's mother as well as a camping trip to Orkney, and a Christmas trip to Copenhagen. Might attend the Kendal Mountain Festival and use the opportunity to climb England's six mountains.

Volunteering / Charity

Still trying to push membership, need to find a way of promoting it so that we are creating a lot of members.

Education / Languages

I've continued with my DuoLingo work. Hopefully in the next 12 months I can get through and complete Russian. I might be good at that point to jump back into a Russian class. I'll look at this come September.

I'm considering slowly working on a Open Source Data Science undergraduate degree program.

Financial

Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status.
