Impossible List - 15 December

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Impossible List - 15 December

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

After a short break I'm working away at the conversion of my bliss-symbolics keyboard into an npm package. I think I'll move on to another project once that work is done.

We've had a bit of a lull in the phonetic spell checker, I'm not sure if its going to come back online. I guess this is the danger in putting goals up that require the input of others. I might take this goal down at the end of the year.

Health / Fitness

So I'm getting it into my head that next year is going to see me hit my weight goals of 11st 11lb and from that point I'm going to switch to working on weight training to build my strength and some running to build up my endurance.

Still in hibernation is my ollie.

Personal Skills

I'm looking at focusing on my book as my key project over the course of 2023. Fingers crossed I can get that project ticked off my list next year.

Flickr now has 496 photos in it, I've not been focused on photos for a wee bit, but I'll be climbing a few mountains over the Christmas break and should get a few if the weather works in my favour.

Travel / Events

So tickets and accommodation have been purchased. I'm going to the Sami Reindeer Races in Tromsø.

Volunteering / Charity

I've started gathering the information required to do sales and footfall analysis of our advertising run and see if we can see anything in the data.

The key things I need to focus on next year is an increase in the membership to Tayside Re-Users.

Education / Languages

Looking at DuoLingo and working out how long it should take I think this might take a good little while, most likely well into next summer before I'm nearing completion.

Financial

Settling into my new promotion. currently looking at £65k per year in salary, so without wanting to move to a new company (which currently would be a bad idea, I am very happy with my current position and colleagues) I think it will be a wee bit before I can advance my salary to £80k unless something internal opens up as a direction to move upwards, but this will most likely involve me transitioning to a management role. I'll have to weigh that opportunity if it comes.

Still awaiting immigration getting back to me, but with everything happening in the UK I'm fairly certain that my application is the least of their worries.
