Impossible List - 15 August

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Impossible List - 15 August

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

Still focused fully on getting fit and writing my book. So nothing exciting to report for projects or the like. I did happen to make myself a pair of running shorts though.

Health / Fitness

I've now been given Pizotifen to give a month's try. Just started so nothing to report.

Marathon training is going well, still in a good place, just have to keep upping my endurance and ability to run longer and longer distances. I just ran a half marathon and I'd be expected to do it again at the weekend. I'm starting to dial in a pace I can manage, I still need a lot of training, but I'm sure I'll live through the ordeal. Just need to keep training and hope I don't get injured.

My aim is to end this year pretty far down on the weight scale and higher up on the fitness scale in preparation to climb a big mountain in 2025.

Personal Skills

I've finished re-writing my book and and started up looking at editing it chapter by chapter. So far I've got back up to Chapter 3, but I really need to be more consistent in my work, I'm falling behind on my plan.

Flickr has 732 photos in it.

Travel / Events

I climbed all of the Furths in England. It was a bit of a suffer fest of a walk with a few glimpses of gorgeous few views in between.

We've been floating an idea to go to America for Thanksgiving in 2025 and preparing for the cost will mean spreading out some trips, it is looking like we might need spread out the trips so that we have time to save for them.

Volunteering / Charity

There is a lot of change at Tayside Re-Users with staff coming in and going out. Generally we appear to lack the expertise to manage and grow our business so that we can really start to look at the problems we are solving strategically. Big news that Shiona our Chair is stepping down, I'm not sure if I should throw my name into the hat or not.

Don't know how we are going to change our fortunes. We could really welcome some energy in the board. Maybe I should throw my name in.

Education / Languages

I've continued with my DuoLingo work. Hopefully in the next 12 months I can get through and complete Russian. I might be good at that point to jump back into a Russian class. I'll look again at this come September.

Financial

Just working hard in my role as React Tech Lead and trying to sort out my shop and put everything into a good status.
