Impossible List - 15 August

August update on my progress with my impossible list.

Impossible List - 15 August

Professional

Getting closer to a working MVP for a phonetic spell checker. Should have something up and running before my next check in.

Automated business is languishing a bit as my out of employment focus is spent on the spell checker. it will return, just slightly parking it for now.

I've now written 12 monthly blogs so making progress in my goals. I'll need to work up another goal for my writing.

A Dundee Tech Meetup is still as far away as it ever was.

Health / Fitness

Still moving down with my weight. Just a game of eating less calories, exercising and watching the numbers move down.

My weekly walks have been upgraded to every weekday. I had a bad week there, but I absolutely can do this if I can find a way to fit it in my schedule regularly.

Mountains are not being prioritised, until I get my fitness up a bit more. I've booked into courses on navigation and I'm hoping to start testing the use of my camping gear.

Autism assessment is just sitting there like a dead weight.

I've had a few attempts to go out and spend some time on my skateboard. I'll get more comfortable cruising around and then the Ollie will come.

Personal Skills

I'm pushing my book editing a bit further. Anie wants to read what I've got so I'm hoping to get the first ten chapters edited to give that a go.

Photography has slowed a bit, but Flickr now has 177 photos in it.

Travel / Events

The wife and I have booked a trip to the Wigtown Book Festival. So we'll see how that goes.

Volunteering / Charity

Tayside Re-Users is back open and we are jumping on getting ourselves sorted and back into a position to get a mortgage and buy our location.

Education / Languages

Russian is still moving along. Nothing brilliant to report. Still hoping to get a place on a Russian course in the next month.

Financial

Started taking the first few steps towards paying down our debt.

So with another recent move I have achieved an income of £60,000, now we'll have to up it again. £80,000?

Need to hopefully finish the work for Angus council and get paid so I can become a citizen..
