Impossible List - 15 April

April update on my progress with my Impossible List.

Impossible List - 15 April

How far I've come over the course of the last month in regards to the impossible list of goals I've set for myself.

Professional

I've finished the work on the automated t-shirt business and I'm now just working to generate a live version of the application. My intention is to run it for a month without marketing the t-shirts to the individuals who inspired them and then turn on the marketing aspect of the application and see if I can sell a t-shirt. Wish me luck.

The phonetic spell checker hasn't come back on line yet, but I believe it will soon.

Health / Fitness

I have travelled to Iowa to see my brothers and my folks and the entire trip has caused me to relapse. I haven't actually weighed myself yet, but I feel a stone heavier. I'll just start again on Monday.

Still in hibernation is my ollie, perhaps I'll get the skateboard out in the spring.

I drank a lot of Busch Light beer in America. That stuff is brilliant, drinking for hours without getting drunk or hungover.

Personal Skills

I noticed in my writing that my book was veering off track and I sat down to write out an outline of what I've put together so far. I've been slowly working on this and I hope I'll have most of a first draft done by the end of the year.

Flickr now has 328 photos in it.

Travel / Events

The trip back to Iowa was a success. Covid was not contracted and I've gotten a trip under my belt.

Now I've started booking a trip up Mount Toubkal in Morocco with my Mom including the flights. It comes with an adventure into the Sahara desert on camels so I'm a bit nervous, but should be a hoot.

Volunteering / Charity

I'm beginning the process of updating our approach to members and to our advertising increasing our membership and our sales. It will take several months, but I think it will definitely pay off.

Education / Languages

Looking at DuoLingo and working out how long it should take I see that most of this year will be taken up with completing Russian in DuoLingo.

Financial

We are starting to get better at predicting our monthly finances. Hopefully we'll take a big chunk of our debt out over the course of the year. The trip to America will be a big blow, but shouldn't be too bad for us.

I'm still waiting on my citizenship decision. Fingers crossed.
